Montessori Room: what rules to follow
As we have already seen, the adequacy of space is fundamental in Montessori education. For this reason, we see how important it is that the room has some characteristics.
That allows the child to move freely through the space and give them autonomy to perform the most diverse activities. Let’s look at some rules for the perfect Montessori room.
Tactile, functional and creative objects
The sensory experience is of the utmost importance in Montessori education, so the Montessori room should have objects that allow this function. These include carpets with soft furugens; textiles with different textures and colours; walls and where you can write or draw.
Another option will be the creation of creative space within the room itself, where the child has access to small musical instruments, an easel to paint its size and access to a small swing, where you can rest.
